Bell Mobility has stated in many newspapers and websites , including Toronto Star, that they are increasing jobs in Montreal and Vancouver while letting go of “some” employees in Mississauga.
The truth is that they let go of EVERYONE in tech support, client client, help desk, and escalation in Mississauga. That’s almost everyone in the site. More than 800 jobs are lost in that site. They are letting go of employees in “waves” , so within the next few weeks more jobs will be lost.
The addition of jobs they speak to are to outside call centres in Vancouver and London, ON that are third party contact centres. NO NEW JOBS WERE ADDED TO BELL MOBILITY. The rest of the jobs are transferred to Manila and Bangalore(according to Management sources in Creekbank campus).
I have stated in my blog almost a year ago that this will happen and it is currently happening. To all bell mobility customers, bell mobility will become again a NON-CANADIAN employer. Even the third party contact centres that are in Canada are getting paid $11 / Hr and have no experience in technical support or customer care. I was one of the employees who handled supervising and training those “employees” and they were a shame to Bell Mobility as they had no desire to learn and were slacking off alot.
Darn Bell Mobility....
ReplyDeleteNo Bell bots please .. thank you
DeleteA word of caution to all Bell customers:
DeleteI have been with Bell Mobility/Cellular since the first year of operations. My current cell number I have owned since 1989, my wife’s since the mid-90s. Currently I am going through a messy business partnership breakup, which was initiated by myself after discovering some accounting and banking anomalies.
When I contacted Bell to remove our phones from the company plan, I discovered that my ex-business partner had pre-emptively removed me as an administrator. Because I had clear personal ownership of the phone, via bills, dating back to 1989, and the phone had only been transferred into the company plan in the previous year, and that I am still an equal 50% partner in the company that is contractually obligated to Bell, I figured it was just a matter of speaking with the right person…WRONG!
Bell’s position is to hide behind policy and not allow me access to anyone with any authority to make this right. Even though the 3 or 4 levels I escalated my request to at Bell all clearly see what is happening, that one party is trying to harm the other and there is a clear path of historical ownership of the phone as well as my company, Bell refuses restore rightful ownership to our phones.
Here is the real slap in the face; even though Bell will not acknowledge and restore my ownership, instead stating that I no longer own the phones, if my company does not fulfill the contractual obligations for those accounts, as a 50% stake holder in that company, I am liable!
In this case, Bell’s inactions are causing me and my wife grief and ultimately financial loss as I will have to walk away from a number that family, friends and clients have has as my main source contact for 23 years.
Beware, if you find yourself in a situation like this be smart and secure your phones first as with Bell it is a matter of whoever is the first one to call Bell and remove the other one wins.
BYE BYE Bell, you have successfully destroyed the last bit of loyalty I had towards you, and even though I am not a fan of Roger's I will be their new client shortly.
Recently I downloaded the TSN "The Masters" Iphone application, opened it for 3-4 minutes shut it down and check my cellular usage which was reseted and was still at zero. I assumed then that the program was using my Wi-Fi network connection. I watched the complete show and was surprise to see a 1GB in my cellular usage before the end of the show. I then switched off the IPhone connection to the 3G network and the program/show ran perfectly only using the Wi-Fi. No other usage was recorded to my cellular usage after the change. There was no setting in the program to select the way the streaming was taking it's data.
ReplyDeleteI would like to know if the software was developed to use the 3G network by default instead of the WiFi so Bell could charge for the data usage since Bell is the owner of TSN.
Bardo , all the apps in the iphone are designed to use the cellular data by default as it is the default network of the phone ... no matter what phone you're using or network you're on. Bell just doesn't bother to tell you this so that you use your data plan and get charged like no tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBell Mobility doesn't train its employees to do so either unless you call complaining about your usage in which you get told that you "should have" used your wi-fi as if you should know that already.
Thanks for detail information!
DeleteThanks for sharing. I would like to get a bell smart phone at the centres in Westgate. I have always wanted to try out a smart phone.
ReplyDeleteHere's a fun word of caution for people.... Don't EVER sign up with Bell's services.
ReplyDeleteI bought a used iPhone 4 from a friend of mine, with the intentions of having it unlocked and using it with my already existing Virgin Mobility account. My phone had recently broken and I needed a replacement and wanted an iPhone anyways... So this seemed to be the ideal solution.
Upon contacting the Bell Mobility call centers, I have been repeatedly lied to, given rude and unprofessional service, and basically had everything and anything that should be in the "Do Not" section of a training guide done to me over the phone.
Upon calling to escalate my complaints about the rude service, I was told various things about how sorry they were.. And yet still told even MORE conflicting information, asked to jump through several hoops that I had already done, and in the end resulted in absolutely nothing being done and no complaints being registered or escalated.
The moral of the story is: DON'T BUY THINGS ASSOCIATED WITH BELL CANADA.
Bell has the worst customer service, I am making a video and I recordef vital info which I had spoken to 5 supervisors, not to mention agents that pass me on to these supervisors, and a manager. Nothing was done to my specific request and guess what, the manager just point finger on somebody else. It's Bell against Equifax now. If you owed from Bell before, even you're paid already, check your credit record, you might be suprised what you can find out. Bell had ruined my credit rating for almost 2 years or maybe Equifax, that is what Bell says. Wait for the video, almost done...
